Monogrammed on top "SCV, Oct 3, 1940", Stamped on bottom "Made in England"

Note: Hinge is off, interior of lid was painted gold at some point, bottom of interior is clad in wood and in good condition. This is a pretty and functional box. Perfect decor piece on a coffee table or to hold trinkets.
